Here are answers to some common questions. 
  • How do I book a wash?

    Booking a mobile car wash in Gastonia has never been this easy:

    Simply view our interior and exterior detailing packages

    Select your day, time and input your address, along with a few other details in just 60 seconds

    Then seamlessly pay on the day of your service.

    Because we know you have a million and one things to do each day, we will send you a SMS reminder 24 hours prior to your booking.

    In the rare occurrence that we will be arriving late to your booking, we will give you a courtesy call to update on our whereabouts. This can be the case at times where previous bookings demand extra time and add-on services.

  • Is there an additional charge for larger vehicles?

    At J&J, we service everything from your nifty micro hatchbacks to caravans and mini trucks, yes the whole lot. Because we receive vehicles in all sorts of sizes and shapes, we do charge a higher price for larger vehicles. As you can imagine, the time take to clean a truck in comparison to a small hatchback would be up 2 to 3 times longer in time required.

    Due to the extra time and supplies necessary to complete the job, we have separate pricing for each vehicle type/size for each car detailing package, this will apply to both interior and exterior car detailing. Please refer to the booking page to view the pricing differences for larger vehicle types. Upon selection of your vehicle type and package, you will see the booking summary update with the new price.

     

  • How do I know if I need a Deep Clean Extra?

    If your vehicle is deemed dirty beyond the typical/average car, additional time, cleaning agents, equipment and effort will be required to restore your vehicle to a clean condition. For this reason, we have the additional extra add-on ‘Deep Clean’, which can be selected if your vehicle is in a state that contains excess or uncommon pollutants.

    So do you need a deep clean added to your booking?

    Great question, ask yourself, does your car have the following:

    Soiled with mud/dirt/dust

    Grass embedded in fabrics

    Sand

    Pet fur/hair

    Road grime on side panels

    Excessive bug guts, bird droppings, tree sap and road tar

    Excess rubbish

    Excess staining

    Beverage/Liquid spills

    You should also ask yourself

    When was the last time you had your car washed? If we are talking months, then most likely you will need to apply for extra time. We are assigned a set amount of time to perform your car wash package, so the more time spent on one area beyond the assigned time, the less time we have for other areas of the vehicle. At least with a deep clean, we can split time accordingly to ensure the necessary areas are tackled effectively.

    Did you just take it on a long road trip or regularly travel?

    Is this your work vehicle and do you carry many tools or deliver products?

    Do you travel with kids or pets often?

    Do you tend to eat in the car often?

    Of course, these are just some questions to consider and not all cars are driven equally. However, our Car Wash Professionals are trained to inspect vehicles prior to cleaning and will determine whether a vehicle may require a Deep Wash if necessary.

    We also provide our car wash professionals access to cleaning guides so that they can stay updated with the latest products and most advanced techniques on the market. They never stop learning and we never stop growing!


  • Do I have to be present during the car wash?

    Absolutely not! We actually encourage you to spend your free time however you like, other than cleaning your car of course! We’re on a mission to deliver you the best car detailing experience, directly to your driveway – it’s why we are here. Just relax and do the things you want to do, while we return your keys to a perfectly clean car.


  • What time do you operate and where

    Our team of automotive detailing experts service all of Gastonia and surrounding areas.

    Our car wash professionals operate from 2pm to 7pm but if you wish to work outside these hours, we may still be able to accommodate, just get in touch with us so we can arrange something. Especially during the hot Summer season and during day light savings, we may provide extra flexibility given that there are workable conditions.

  • Do your car wash professionals come fully equipped?

    Yes, they certainly do. Fully equipped with professional cleaning equipment for a thorough clean that is both safe and gentle on the car interior and exterior. All we need are your keys and the rest we will handle from mitt to bumper.


  • What if I need multiple vehicles cleaned?

    Cleaning multiple vehicles can be performed, as we most often deal with fleet management for corporate company cars. So if you have a particular request, we’d love to get in touch.

    If we are onsite, you are more than welcome to add in more vehicles to your existing booking, given that we have enough time to do so. Please do notify us with early notice so that we can schedule the day accordingly and shuffle bookings where necessary.

    If this is prior to your booking, you can call us on 704-674-1536 and inform us of the new additions or alternatively login into your dashboard and update your existing booking yourself.


  • What car detailing services do you offer?

    We offer a range of packages to ensure that we have the perfect package for you.

    We have interior detailing, exterior detailing, basic car washing, pre-sale car detailing, paint protection, and headlight restoration.


  • How do recurring plans work?

    To sign up for a recurring plan, place a booking on the J&J website. You’ll be able to select a frequency (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) add any additional services, and pay for your first booking. After your first booking, your next recurring car washes will be scheduled automatically for the same time and day based on the frequency you selected and you’ll be billed after the service has been completed.

    We don’t perform any of the following services:

    Dent Repair

    Heavy Scratch Repair

    Hail Damage

    Spray Painting

    Insect infestation

    Removalist jobs – packing in and out vehicles for move aways

    Leather or Fabric Repair

    Interior Car Repairs

    Window Repairs

  • What do I need to do just before my appointment?

    Once you have made your booking and ready for your car wash professional to arrive. Please do the following:

    Remove all valuables and items from the car such as clothing, drink bottles and etc. The last thing you’d want is for our vacuum cleaners to suck up your belongings, keep them stored away safely. This also includes removing items from the trunk/boot.

    Be ready to greet our friendly J&J detailer , depending on your car wash package, we may need your keys.

    Please allow a parking space for our professional to park their vehicle. It makes it a whole lot easier to bring across all the relevant cleaning tools and equipment.

    Be prepared to show where the outdoor water tap is and an accessible power point outlet closest to your vehicle. (More than 5cars)

    Relax! We will let you know when we are done and hand over your keys to a flawlessly clean car.
